Fashion is generally separated into two categories - Art, and Commerce.

We are about the Art.

Collective is a celebration of new ideas; focusing on the image-makers, collaboration, and the creative forces that make our lives pop. We offer a mirror that reflects Fashion, the Arts, Design, and Photography to the progressive reader who enjoys the creative realm and the culture that surrounds it. We are a group of individuals that stand at the corner of chic and avant-garde, with the brazen and unconventional lurking around every corner.

We will be bringing our readers monthly content by way of a digital magazine and on-the-pulse daily and weekly content online.

Eryka Clayton | Editor in Chief / Fashion & Creative Director

After hanging up her point shoes and leaving a career as a New York based ballerina, Eryka has been working in the Fashion industry for over a decade, starting as a model and moving onto fashion show director & stylist. Her career has taken her from New York to Miami where she worked at OceanDrive Magazine, and now to Los Angeles: where she was one of the original team members behind Ego Magazine, and was instrumental in creating a widespread following and critical recognition for this pocket sized guide to the good life now known as Six Degrees. Before long, new creative challenges beckoned and she became a founding partner and Editor in Chief of Signature Magazine, a fashion forward lifestyle publication centered on the cultural hotbed of Los Angeles. She produced photographic features for fashion and celebrities, picked out the hottest new style trends, led hair and make up teams, and shaped the creative vision of the publication. After working with some of the most talented creatives on both the East and West Coast of America, she is once again feeding her creative hunger at Collective. For more on Eryka visit www.erykaclayton.com

Rich Clayton | Art Director / Troublemaker

A slightly cheeky, ever so friendly and award winning schizophrenic British Designer, Illustrator and Creative, Rich has a not so secret alter ego called Monkey Mischief. A seasoned expert in Branding, Graphic Design, Marketing, and Creative Direction, Monkey has worked on projects large and small across the US and Europe, responsible for everything from brand management through to large scale TV Ad campaigns for an astoundingly wide range of clientele. Monkey has his own alter ego, forming one half of Beauty and a Beast, a design and production duo based on the West Coast. He is no longer allowed to play with cruise missiles.

Susan Michals | Editor at Large

Susan hails from San Francisco, where she worked as a copywriter for many years writing about bleach, dried prunes and big cars. Since moving to Los Angeles, she has written for various outlets, including (but not limited to) E! Entertainment, C Magazine and Angeleno. Her particular area of expertise lies in her interviewing skills; she has created a myriad of wonderful stories out of her interviews with artists like Helen Mirren, Eddie Izzard, and photographer Matthew Rolston. On a more personal note, her color of choice is red, her sign is Scorpio, and her favorite Spinal Tapper is David St. Hubbins.

Jenni Muro | Philanthropy Editor

Jenni was an East Coast girl (raised in New York, schooled in Miami) but decided after graduation to go west, where she began working in film production right out of the gate on Gus Van Sant’s Psycho. She went on to work with singer/actress Christina Aguilera on her worldwide music tour, and subsequently began working with Lindsay Lohan in 2006 - first as her day-to-day manager and eventually partnering in her production company. Currently Jenni is Lohan’s partner in 6126, a clothing line. Jenni is thrilled to be a part of Collective as Philanthropy Editor. As a 14-year ovarian cancer survivor, Jenni celebrates her survival with her involvement with a number of charities that help the human spirit to endure and carry on.
