Okay, after bouncing on a trampoline and stretching my limbs in Pilates, a girl needs a bit of beauty.
So I went to Kate Somerville's house. No really - it's a house - but it's on Melrose Place. Apparently it used to be Johnny Depp's pad but now it's bedecked in nothing but white - right down to the blankies in the treatment room. Her comfy abode is a favorite of stars like Kristin Thomas, Kirstin Dunst, and Jessica Alba.
Tracy - Kate's go to girl - hooked me up with what I was going to need to get myself perfecto for Oscar night, because working for the mag, doing my 3,000 other jobs, working out and trying to socialize was taking its toll on my face in the form of dark circles and uneven skin.
Sure, I was toned everywhere else, but my face needed major rehab. Over the next few weeks, I did a little LED action (aka Dermalucent white/red lights that provide improvement of fine lines, tone and texture of skin), and Laser Genesis - which at first kinda scared me because it's a LASER. But it felt like hot raindrops on my face, and I came out looking positively glowing. (Plus it reduces pore size!)
Then I engaged in the Muscle Lift...which when you read about it, sounds like electro shock to your face. BUT, it feels kinda groovy. It takes three types of electric current and mixes them together to strengthen and lift tired muscles back into their youthful positions. (Okay, by now you've figured I'm not 22, but I'm not 72 either).
Of course, I did the Kate Somerville Signature Facial every time too - and the last time I even fell asleep. God knows I needed the rest.
